Stall dorsal element circa 1440-1470 depicting an angel holding a shield

The walnut relief depicts a haloed angel with outstretched wings bearing a shield stamped with the following unidentified weapons: "to the third party in band accompanied by six bests in orle".

This very high quality work can be compared with Jura and Genevois schools, especially the stalls of Saint-Gervais in Geneva.

Significant degradations due to xylophages. The face of the angel deliberately vandalized.
